Yesterday I turned 54 and what do I have to show for it? Well, new cooking skills which I honed in the last couple of weeks. I have cooked every lunch, every dinner, researching and using the right technique. Vacation photo books, designed and ordered. My family photo needs go neglected, much like the shoemaker's kids. I'm often too busy to get them printed. The photos from my family vacation to celebrate my big 5-0 (yes, that long ago) finally got some attention. Even better, I uploaded the photos to a gallery, so my family can reminisce and order prints as well. This COVID-19 thing, I’ve been lucky enough to still see silver linings.
Remember to look for silver linings in photo projects, we all have photos on our phones and tucked away in boxes. I have so many from my travels that a photobook was the best way to get them all printed for generations to come. In case you need a recommendation for a printer, my all time favorite premium book maker is Milkbooks. They make handcrafted premium books available to the consumer. The quality is bar-none luxurious! Give a try. You don't need any additional software, you simply upload your photos and design your book right on their site. It's a great project to take on now, and to get that beautiful book in your hand filled with family memories -- there is no better feeling.
